The architect’s warm, modern composition was our cue to echo this same approach in the landscape. At the entry, an entertaining courtyard is embraced by the house and further delineated by a bold, freestanding planter bursting with horsetails. In the back, a circular glass-tiled, raised spa commands the composition. Its continuous spilling edge creates a calm mirrored pool (when not bubbling) that mimics the adjoining lagoon. Another semicircular element emerges nearby, an outdoor seating bench with adjacent outdoor kitchen. A waterfront lawn envelops a boat dock. All the elements were carefully executed to create a unique contemporary extension of the house.
