SCOTTSDALE MARSH
Novato, CaliforniaThis ecological restoration project was a challenging accomplishment in an area where rapidly developing roads, housing, and shopping centers were competing with the native marshlands of the San Francisco Bay. This marsh remnant was restored to its natural function, ecology, and flora as much as possible. The addition of native plants and an interpretive exhibit shelter along the road and medians provide access for observing the process of regeneration and seasonal bird migration.
